Privacy policy

Shoorio is a site for rating and discovering tennis matches. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email info@shoorio.com.

Information we collect

• Account information. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. If you use Google, we also receive your name and profile picture (the picture is shown from Google, not stored by us). If you set a password, it’s handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and stored only in hashed form — we never see it. In all cases we store your email address and a display name.
• Content you create. The ratings (1–10) and any written reviews you add to matches.
• Usage analytics. Aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics (via Vercel) — page views, approximate location (country level), the site that referred you, and device/browser type, plus page-performance metrics. This is cookieless, is not tied to your identity, and is never used for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

We keep your login session in your browser’s local storage (handled by Supabase, our authentication provider) so you stay signed in. We also set one small preference cookie (topTour) that remembers whether you last viewed the ATP or WTA list. Our analytics do not use cookies.

How we use your information

To sign you in, save and display your ratings and reviews, show your display name, and — in aggregate — understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a few third-party providers to run Shoorio, and your data passes through them only to provide the service: Google (for sign-in), plus an authentication and database provider, a website host (which also provides analytics), and a backend host. Highlight videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode; YouTube may collect data if you play a video, under Google’s policy.

Retention and your choices

We keep your account and ratings until you ask us to delete them. You can sign out at any time, and you can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing info@shoorio.com — we’ll remove your account and ratings.

Children

Shoorio isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
